Police Charge Man with terrorism offences

A man has been charged with terrorism offences following an investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command. Abdirahman Abdullahi Mohamed, 41 of north-west London was charged on Monday, 16 April with five counts of possession of documents containing information useful for terrorist purposes, contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this afternoon. On 20 December, 2017, detectives arrested Abdirahman Abdullahi Mohamed on suspicion of possession of a document containing information useful for terrorist purposes, contrary to section 58(1)(b) of the Terrorism Act 2000. He was released on bail pending further enquiries and subsequently charged as above.
