A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed, “Police were called at 12.26pm on Monday, 8 September to Cook Road, england/dagenham/”>Dagenham after a body was found.” Officers are currently working to confirm the identity of the deceased and inform their next of kin. Initial investigations suggest the body is that of a man. The death is being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries, and a scene remains in place.
