Substances Discovered During Warrant Execution
In a significant police operation in Knutsford, Cheshire Police made six arrests following the discovery of unknown substances. The operation began at approximately 7am on Monday, 27th November, when officers executed a warrant in the Longridge area.
Arrests and Safety Measures
Among those arrested were five men, aged 23, 24, 24, 29, and 58, as well as a 22-year-old woman. All are currently in police custody. In response to the substances found, emergency services, including fire and ambulance teams, were summoned to the scene. A 100-meter cordon was established around the area as a precaution.
EOD Assessment and Cordon Lifted
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called in for assessment. Following their thorough inspection, the EOD confirmed the area was safe, leading to the lifting of the cordon at around 4.50pm.
