Police still need your help after Teen was airlift and six others arrested in Canterbury

Witnesses are still being sought in connection with a serious assault in Canterbury. An investigation was launched by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate after Kent Police was called to Whitefriars Street at around 6pm on Thursday 6 June 2019 to reports that a teenage boy had been assaulted. Patrols and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene and the teenager was conveyed to a 1 hospital by air ambulance where he remains in a serious condition. A 16-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl and two 15-year-old boys, all from Canterbury, and a 17-year-old boy from Margate were arrested as part of the investigation. A sixth arrest, a 44-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All those arrested have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
