Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts handed down several sentences on Monday, addressing cases of assault, harassment, and illegal possession of a weapon among local residents.

Weapon Possession and Traffic Violation Emmanuel Adeyemi, 20, residing on Eltham Road in Bromley, faced the court for possessing a locking knife in a public place and driving without insurance in Petts Wood on February 17. Adeyemi was handed a one-year community order with electronic monitoring, fined £120, and incurred six penalty points on his driving licence.

Physical Assault Jamie Mann, 38, from Attlee Road in Thamesmead, admitted to assaulting a man in September 2023. Mann was sentenced to a one-year community order which includes completing 120 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £100 in compensation to the victim.

These cases reflect the local judiciary’s ongoing efforts to address and curb criminal activities within the Bromley and Bexley areas, emphasizing community-based penalties and protective orders to prevent future offences.
