A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a shock crash in Cleethorpes.

Jeep Ploughs Into Pedestrians on Pavement

Emergency crews rushed to St Peter’s Avenue just after 7pm on Tuesday, 9 December. Witnesses reported a white Jeep mounting the pavement, hitting several pedestrians before smashing into a woman on a mobility scooter.

The victims thankfully suffered only minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Suspect in Custody as Police Hunt Witnesses

A 26-year-old woman has now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. She remains in custody while officers delve deeper into the case.

Detective Inspector Tom Kelly reassured locals, saying: “We understand concerns around this incident. Early investigations suggest some involved parties may know each other.”

Police Appeal for CCTV and Witnesses

The police are combing through CCTV footage and talking to witnesses and local businesses. They urge anyone with dashcam or video footage, or who saw the incident, to come forward.
