A teenager has been taken to hospital after being rescued from Southmere Lake near Bazalgette Way in Thamesmead early Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 12:30pm after reports that a person had entered the water.
“The person was rescued by a member of the public before the Brigade arrived and was treated by London Ambulance Service crews at the scene.

Teen Taken to Hospital as Priority
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed their teams were on scene within minutes of the call.
“We were called at 12.29pm today (19 June) to reports of a person in water near Bazalgette Way, SE2.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews and an incident response officer.
“We treated a teenager at the scene and took them to hospital as a priority.”

The teenager’s current condition remains unclear, and further updates are awaited from the Metropolitan Police, who have also been contacted for comment.
