Police Arrest Driver After Shocking Discovery

This morning’s rush hour on the M40 was thrown into chaos when cops uncovered 13 migrants hiding in the back of a lorry. Thames Valley Police swooped on the northbound carriageway between Junction 9 at Bicester and Junction 10 at Baynards Green, Oxfordshire, after a tip-off at 9:53am.

The HGV driver was promptly arrested on suspicion of immigration offences, joined by the 13 people found stowed away inside the vehicle. In total, 14 were detained as police launched their investigation.

Motorists Stunned as Police Uncover Migrants

Shocked drivers captured footage of the scene, showing police cars lining the motorway and a group of hooded men sitting quietly on the hard shoulder. One eyewitness was heard counting nervously: “Six… seven… oh my god, there’s a lot.” Another exclaimed, “Holy moly!”

Major Delays as Lanes Close for Police Checks

Two lanes on the northbound M40 were closed, causing severe tailbacks during the busy morning rush. National Highways had already warned motorists to expect delays and to allow extra travel time amid the building queues.

Investigation Continues with Home Office Involvement

Thames Valley Police confirmed they are working closely with the Home Office as the probe unfolds. The full facts are still emerging in this dramatic border security bust.
