Three men have been charged following a robbery at a Tesco Express store in Farnborough on Wednesday, 18 September. The incident occurred at approximately 1:54 PM on Chapel Lane when a container full of cigarettes was stolen, and a staff member sustained a minor injury to her arm during the theft.
The suspects fled the scene in a Renault Grand Scenic, prompting a swift police response. Officers were deployed to the area and, after conducting enquiries, located the vehicle on Bridge Road, Farnborough, around 10 PM. A subsequent search of an address in Cottage Gardens led to the arrest of three men shortly after midnight. During one of the arrests, two police officers were assaulted.
Following the investigation, three men have been formally charged:
- Jamie Manson, 31, of Whittington Road, London, has been charged with robbery.
- Thomas Willett, 18, of Miller Avenue, Enfield, has been charged with robbery and possession of a Class B controlled drug. Both Manson and Willett are scheduled to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (20 September).
- Kane Pyrke, 22, of Cottage Gardens, Farnborough, has been charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, and possession of a Class B controlled drug. Pyrke has been bailed and is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on 24 October.
