Three Men Arrested After Tesco Cigarette Heist in Farnborough
Three men have been charged following a brazen robbery at a Tesco Express in Farnborough on Wednesday, 18 September. The culprits struck just before 2pm on Chapel Lane, stealing a container full of cigarettes. The daring theft left a staff member with a minor arm injury.
Police Chase Ends in Arrest
The suspects fled the scene in a Renault Grand Scenic, sparking a swift police manhunt. Officers tracked the vehicle to Bridge Road by 10pm. Shortly after midnight, a raid at an address in Cottage Gardens led to the arrest of three men. During the arrests, two police officers were assaulted, adding to the gravity of the case.
Charged and Court-Bound
- Jamie Manson, 31, of Whittington Road, London, charged with robbery.
- Thomas Willett, 18, of Miller Avenue, Enfield, charged with robbery and possession of a Class B controlled drug. Both Manson and Willett are set to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (20 September).
- Kane Pyrke, 22, of Cottage Gardens, Farnborough, charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, criminal damage under £5,000, and possession of a Class B drug. Pyrke has been bailed and will face court on 24 October.
