A devastating collision in Grimsargh has claimed the life of a 19-year-old man. The deadly crash happened on Preston Road early Sunday morning, sparking road closures and police investigations.
Crash Details: Green MG TF Vs Black Audi Q7
At 9:55am, Lancashire Police responded to reports of a crash involving a green MG TF and a black Audi Q7. Despite emergency services’ best efforts, the young MG driver died at the scene.
The Audi, driven by a woman in her 40s, suffered minor injuries and was hospitalised. Police currently treat her as a witness, not a suspect.
Road Closed for Hours as Inquiry Continues
Preston Road was closed for much of the day while officers investigated. It has now reopened but inquiries are ongoing.
A police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with his family. Specialist officers are supporting them during this difficult time.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Officers urge anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of Preston Road between 9:45am and 10am to come forward. Witnesses to the moments before or after the crash are also asked to contact police.
