Woman Hospitalised After Dog Bite Incident in Collier Row Park

 

A woman in her 50s has been taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog at Collier Row Recreation Ground in Romford.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called to the scene at around 4.35pm on Sunday, March 23, following reports of a dog attack in the popular park.

Emergency services, including officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, arrived promptly and found the woman suffering from what were described as minor injuries. She received initial treatment at the scene before being transported to hospital for further care.

A Met Police spokesperson said:

Police were called to reports a woman had been bitten by a dog in Collier Row Recreational Park, Romford at 16:35hrs on Sunday, 23 March.
A woman in her 50s suffered minor injuries. She was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service and later taken to hospital.
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.”

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, including details about the dog and its owner. The investigation is ongoing, and officers are appealing to the public for information.
