In a landmark ruling, George Thorley, a Yorkshire resident, has been sentenced to 27 years in prison by Leeds Crown Court for perpetrating a disturbing series of sex offences against children over a span of more than two decades. The harrowing crimes, which included drugging and molesting children, encompassed areas across Durham, West Yorkshire, and London.
Thorley’s heinous acts came to light following reports from three victims to West Yorkshire Police over a 12-month period starting in 2021. Subsequent investigations, coordinated by authorities in multiple jurisdictions, uncovered a total of seven victims, with one in Durham, two in West Yorkshire, and four in London.
