Counter-terror cops launched a dramatic raid on a massage parlour in Bury today after a man threatened people with a knife near a childcare centre.
Specialist teams and undercover police flooded Stand Lane, Radcliffe, causing alarm among locals as officers pointed guns at the Sunflower Massage parlour to contain the threat.

Young children from a nearby nursery and school were swiftly evacuated. Police and staff escorted pupils to waiting parents, keeping them safe during the tense showdown.
Knife-Wielding Suspect Held After Police Negotiation
Landlady Frieda Ehsan revealed her tenant called her to dial 999 once the armed man entered the shop.
“We responded to an incident on Stand Lane, Radcliffe around 2:15pm following reports of threats involving a bladed weapon. Those at the address managed to reach safety and called us. Our negotiators engaged with the suspect inside the property. A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats with a bladed article and remains in custody for questioning. This was an isolated incident and we can confirm it is not being treated as counter-terror related.”
The local community was left shaken but relief is mounting as police wrap up the dramatic incident peacefully.
