Derek Wellington, 34, pled guilty to a series of violent and dangerous offences in Glasgow’s High Court on Friday, July 1, 2022. He was sentenced today in Stirling High Court.
The incidents occurred between August and September 2021 in Edinburgh and East Kilbride.
Derek Wellington is now facing the consequences of his reckless and appalling behaviour,” said Detective Chief Inspector Martin McGhee.
To ensure that justice was served, a team of dedicated officers conducted a complex investigation in collaboration with a number of other partner agencies.
“I hope that today’s sentencing will give other victims of abuse the courage to speak out.”
