A Man Has Been Charged In Connection With A Stabbing In Sittingbourne.

Following a knife attack in Sittingbourne, a suspect has been charged and remanded in custody.

At 9:55 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022, Kent Police were called to a report that a man had suffered an injury consistent with a stab wound. The victim, in his 50s, is accused of being assaulted by someone he knows during a disturbance inside a Romney Court residence. He was taken to a hospital in London and has since been released.

Officers arrested Stephen Curry, 28, of Knightsfield Road, Sittingbourne, on Friday, August 19. He was charged with intent to wound and possessing a knife in a public place. On Monday, August 22, Mr Curry appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody. His next hearing is scheduled for September 19 at Maidstone Crown Court.
