A Nuneaton Drug Dealer Has Received A Prison Sentence Of More Than Two Years After Pleading Guilty To Drug Offences

Martin McGuire, 33, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court last week where he was sentenced to two-and-a-half-years in prison for possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply. McGuire was arrested in Princes Street, Nuneaton in June 2020 after plain clothed detectives from Nuneaton Proactive CID spotted a suspected drug deal. McGuire was searched and the drugs were seized. Officer in the case, Detective Constable Sian Cook from Nuneaton Proactive CID, said: “The supply of drugs is a crime that has a huge impact on the most vulnerable members of our community. It is an appalling crime from which McGuire has profited. “We welcome the sentence handed down by the court and encourage anyone with information about drug dealing in their community to contact Warwickshire Police.”
