Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a violent assault at a bus stop in Gravesend that left a man with a serious hand injury.

The attack took place around 11.30am on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, as a man in his 20s waited at a bus stop in Tennyson Road. He was reportedly attacked by another man who had just arrived on a bus.

According to police, the suspect punched and scratched the victim before the incident continued onto the bus, where the suspect bit the victim’s finger, causing a deep laceration down to the tendon.

Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot, walking in the direction of Dickens Avenue.

Investigation and Appeal

Kent Police have conducted house-to-house enquiries and reviewed local CCTV footage as part of their investigation. They have now released an appeal to help identify a man who may have crucial information.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may recognise the individual described or witnessed the incident unfold.”
