Kent Police was called to a disturbance in the village during the evening of Thursday 4 July 2023, before attending patrols located a suspect in an outbuilding off Woodbury Road.
[block_2]It is alleged as the man was being arrested, a constable was punched in the face. The suspect was detained and taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury. On arrival at the hospital, it is reported further attempts were made to kick and headbutt police, with one officer bitten on the hand.
