A postbox in Dartford has undergone a unique transformation, resembling a crème egg, amidst a recent wave of “criminal damage” incidents where postboxes across the area have been creatively painted.

The spree began with the painting of 26 postboxes in gold between Wednesday, January 31, and Monday, February 5, 2024, with most of the incidents concentrated in the Temple Hill area. Subsequently, on Monday, February 19, postboxes at Trevithick Drive, Wellcome Avenue, and Joyce Green Lane took on a pink hue adorned with gold spots, reminiscent of the popular character Mr Blobby.
