Teenager Stabbed to Death in Croydon Street Horror
Tragedy struck Shrublands, Croydon, in the early hours of Thursday, 1 July, when police and paramedics rushed to Bracken Avenue after a 16-year-old boy was found stabbed.
Camron Smith Dies After Stabbing
Officers arrived at 12.46am to find Camron Smith gravely injured. Despite emergency teams’ desperate efforts, the teenager was pronounced dead shortly after.
Camron, a local boy from Shrublands, has left his family devastated. Specialist officers are providing support to his loved ones during this horrific time.
Two Arrested and Charged with Murder and Robbery
Police swiftly moved, charging two suspects on Monday, 5 July. One is a 15-year-old boy caught in East Sussex on Friday, 2 July. The other, 18-year-old Romain La Pierre from Cricklewood, was nabbed in Brierley Hill, West Midlands the following day.
Both remain in custody and are set to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 6 July.
