Detectives investigating the murder of Linda McArity in Tower Hamlets have charged a man. Ian Kerr, 36, of no fixed address, was charged on Tuesday, 14 May with murder, two counts of fraud and preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body. He will appear at Thames Magistrate Court at 10am on Wednesday, 15 May. On 30 December 2018 at around 13:20hrs, officers attended an address in Salisbury House on Hobday Street, E14 after concerns were raised for the welfare of the occupant. Linda McArity, 50, from Tower Hamlets, was found unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A 62-year-old man and a 46-year-old man who were arrested in January on suspicion of murder and subsequently bailed have since been released with no further action.
