Man Charged Over Tower Hamlets Murder of Linda McArity

Detectives have charged Ian Kerr, 36, with the murder of Linda McArity in Tower Hamlets. Kerr, who has no fixed address, faces several charges including murder, two counts of fraud, and preventing the lawful burial of a body.

Crime Details and Court Appearance

The grim find was made on 30 December 2018 at around 1:20pm. Police were called to an address on Hobday Street, E14, following welfare concerns for the occupant. Linda McArity, 50, was discovered unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

Kerr is set to appear at 1 Magistrate Court at 10am on Wednesday, 15 May.

Other Suspects Released

Two other men, aged 62 and 46, arrested in January on suspicion of murder, have been released without further action.
