Quick-Thinking Cops Nab Thieves in Dartford Heath
On Friday 26 September 2025, officers recovered a stolen JCB telehandler loaded on a flatbed truck. Police were alerted to the theft at 9.30pm from Swanley park/”>Park on england/new-barn/”>england/new-barn/”>New Barn Road. By 10.30pm, patrols spotted a suspicious vehicle parked on Rochester Way carrying the digger. Both the truck and the JCB were seized on the spot.

Not far off, another piece of stolen machinery was discovered abandoned and torched. Two men were arrested at the scene over theft and criminal damage charges. They’ve since been bailed with strict conditions as investigations continue.
