Two Men Caught Within Hour of £100k Plant Machinery Heist

Two men were nabbed just an hour after making off with nearly £100,000 worth of plant machinery in a daring theft. The swift police action followed a tip-off late on Friday, 26 September 2025.

Quick-Thinking Cops Nab Thieves in New Barn Road

At around 9.30pm, officers were alerted to a stolen JCB telehandler from Park on England/New Barn Road. By 10.30pm, patrols spotted a suspicious flatbed truck carrying the digger. The police swooped, seizing the truck and the stolen machine on the spot.

Burnt-Out Machine and Arrests Shake Local Crime Scene

Not far from the scene, another piece of stolen machinery was found abandoned and set ablaze. Two men were arrested at the spot, facing charges of theft and criminal damage. Both have since been released on bail under strict conditions as the investigation heats up.
