Around 70 firefighters and ten fire engines are tackling a major fire at a house in New Malden, south-west London.
London Fire Brigade was called to Mount Pleasant Road after receiving the first of 24 emergency calls at around 9.36pm.
Part of the ground floor, first floor and roof of a two-storey semi-detached house are alight, while a car parked in the front garden has also caught fire.

A large emergency response remains at the scene, with crews sent from Surbiton, Kingston, Sutton, Wimbledon and surrounding fire stations.
Station Commander Steve McGhie said smoke from the blaze was affecting the surrounding area and urged nearby residents to keep their windows and doors closed where possible.

One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders is being used as a water tower, allowing firefighters to attack the flames from above.
Crews remain at the scene working to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the blaze is not known at this stage.
This is a developing incident and further information will be published as it becomes available.
