Former Chippenham Town FC midfielder Quevin Castro has died aged 25 after reportedly collapsing during a football match in Portugal.
Castro fell ill during the first half of Real Sport Clube’s pre-season friendly against Portuguese top-flight side Estrela da Amadora in Lisbon on Saturday, August 22.
The midfielder reportedly received CPR and defibrillation on the pitch as attempts were made to save his life.
He was taken to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

“Rest in peace, Quev.”
West Brom also ‘devastated’ by death
