Five 19-year-old men have been arrested following a police search at a property in Brabourne Close, Canterbury, as part of a child protection investigation.
Kent Police confirmed that officers attended the address on the Hales Place estate on Sunday, 6 July, where the arrests were made.
Witnesses reported seeing at least three police cars and two vans outside the property, with officers remaining at the scene for around 24 hours while searches were carried out.
A police spokesperson said:
“Officers attended a property on Brabourne Close, Canterbury, on Sunday, July 6 as part of a child protection investigation. Five 19-year-old men were arrested at the scene and later released on bail pending further enquiries.”
No further information has been released by the force regarding the nature of the investigation.
The arrests form part of ongoing enquiries, and police have not disclosed whether they are seeking any additional suspects.
