Four Charged with GBH After Biker Seriously Injured in Hartcliffe Collision

Four teenagers have been charged following a serious collision in Hartcliffe that left a teenage biker hospitalised with significant injuries, Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Hareclive Road at around 5.30pm on Thursday 29 May, following reports of a collision involving an off-road motorcycle and a car. The incident was treated as a fail-to-stop collision, and the biker, also a teenager, sustained serious injuries that required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged.

Following extensive enquiries, four individuals have now been charged with multiple offences and are due to appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday 26 July).

Those charged include:

  • Harrison Dodds, 18, from Hengrove
  • Zak Goldsmith, 18, from Knowle
  • Two juvenile males, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons

All four have been charged with:

  • Conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent
  • Possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place
  • Handling stolen goods

In addition, three other individuals were arrested in the days following the incident. One remains on conditional bail, while no further action will be taken against the other two.

The investigation, led by Avon and Somerset Police, is continuing.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from Hareclive Road around the time of the collision is urged to come forward.
