Twenty-six-year-old Raheem Hanif and his father had parked up in their van outside Raheem’s house on the evening of 6 February 2021, when they were set upon by four young men with baseball bats and large knives. Raheem was fatally stabbed during the attack.
Abas Khan, 24, and Kamran Chowdhary, 18, who were convicted earlier this year of Raheem’s murder, have been jailed for life with a minimum of 26 and 14 years respectively at Reading Crown Court today.
