In a significant police operation in Knutsford, a man has been charged with illegal possession of dangerous acids, leading to the evacuation of 110 homes in the Longridge area.

The raid, conducted by Cheshire Police on Monday, uncovered substances at a residence that prompted the involvement of Army explosive disposal experts. As a precaution, a 330ft (100m) cordon was established around the scene, and residents were evacuated from their homes from around 7am and pm.
