Man charged with fraud charges

A man has been charged with burglary and fraud in Cholsey following a Thames Valley Police investigation. Carl Hunter, aged 36, of The Meadway, Tilehurst, was charged with one count of burglary and one count of fraud by misrepresentation. This is in connection with an incident on 10 July in which a property in Reading Road, Cholsey was broken into and items were taken, such as jewellery and war medals. Credit cards taken from the address were then used later in the day. Hunter has been remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on 9 August.
