Man Charged After Bizarre Burglary and Fraud in Cholsey

Carl Hunter, 36, from Tilehurst, has been hit with burglary and fraud charges following a Thames Valley Police probe.

Jewellery and War Medals Stolen in Break-In

The crime happened on 10 July at a property on Reading Road, Cholsey. Hunter allegedly smashed in and made off with jewellery and war medals.

Fraudulent Credit Card Use on the Same Day

Hunter then used credit cards stolen from the property later that same day, adding fraud to his charges.

Hunter Remanded Ahead of Court Date

He is now in custody and set to appear at 1 Crown Court on 9 August.
