Police Investigation and Charges

Following a two-and-a-half-year investigation, Avon and Somerset Police announced the charge, describing the case as “deeply sad”.

Detective Superintendent Lorett Spierenburg said:

“This is a deeply sad case in which a young baby, who was only a few weeks old, has tragically lost their life.”

She added that police officers are continuing to provide specialist support to Atticus’s family during the legal proceedings.

Court Proceedings
