Bristol Man Nabbed for £40,000 Shop Theft Spree

A Bristol crook has confessed to stealing more than £40,000 worth of goods in a daring two-month shoplifting rampage across the city.

14 Charges, 5 Shopping Spots Raided

Joshua Milkins, 35, of Meriet Avenue, Hartcliffe, pleaded guilty to 14 theft offences earlier this month. He targeted sports shops, leisure retailers, and chemists in Emerson’s Green, Longwell Green, Worle, Imperial Park, and Avonmeads. His spree lasted from 2 December 2025 to 25 January 2026, scooping up an eye-watering £40,463 of merchandise.

Fast Guilty Plea Speeds Up Justice

Milkins admitted all charges at his first court appearance on 2 February, fast-tracking his case ahead of sentencing at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday, 10 March. Police vow to crack down hard on shop theft across Bristol town.
