Dorset Police Hunt Thugs Behind Morrisons Assault and Theft
Dorset Police are on the lookout for a violent suspect caught on CCTV after an assault and theft at Morrisons in Verwood. The shocking attack happened just before 9pm on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
Staff Member Attacked During Shoppers’ Scuffle
Police say a member of Morrisons staff bravely stepped in to break up a fight between a group and another customer. Instead, one thug turned on the staff member, delivering an assault that caused minor injuries. The gang then smashed some windows and fled with stolen goods.
Police Plea: Help Identify Suspect and Bring Them To Justice
Investigator Kate Hann slammed the “completely unacceptable” behaviour. She vowed Dorset Police are dedicated to helping the victim and catching those responsible.
CCTV snapshots of the suspect are now public. Authorities urge anyone who recognises the attacker or saw the drama unfold to come forward immediately.
