Man Charged with Murder of Woman in Ealing
A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead in Ealing earlier this year.
Alvin Ghati Held Over Woman’s Death
Alvin Ghati, 43, from Uxbridge Road, Ealing, was charged with murder on Wednesday, 8 October. He is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 9 October.
Tragic Discovery in Riverside Close
Police were called to an address in Riverside Close, Ealing, at around 3:15pm on Tuesday, 26 March following concerns for a woman’s welfare. Emergency services found 35-year-old Vivienne Baraka with serious injuries. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Post-Mortem Reveals Cause of Death
The post-mortem confirmed Vivienne died from compression to the neck. Ghati was initially arrested at the scene and released under investigation. He was re-arrested on 8 October and formally charged with murder.
Specialist officers are supporting Vivienne’s family during this difficult time.
