A 34-year-old man has been charged with two counts of possession of an offensive weapon after an incident outside the Houses of Parliament. The Metropolitan Police" href="https://www.met.police.uk" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="129458">Metropolitan Police reported that Lewis Allington, from March, Cambridgeshire, was detained following reports of a person carrying knives near the iconic Carriage Gates entrance.
Allington is scheduled to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 14. Authorities have assured the public that security around Parliament remains a priority and that any incidents in the area are swiftly addressed.
