Police were called at 2:14am on Monday, 16 September, following reports of an assault in General Gordon Square, Greenwich. Officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the scene, where a man in his 40s was found with a head injury after being struck with a bottle.
The victim has been taken to hospital, where the severity of his injuries is currently being assessed.
The crime scene has since been closed, and the investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
