Man Attacked With Bottle in Greenwich Square
Police rushed to General Gordon Square, Greenwich, at 2:14am on Monday, 16 September, after reports of a violent assault. A man in his 40s was discovered with a serious head injury, having been hit with a bottle.
Victim Rushed to Hospital as Investigation Gets Underway
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated the victim at the scene before rushing him to hospital. The extent of his injuries is currently being assessed.
The crime scene has now been sealed off. No arrests have been made yet, but the police investigation is ongoing.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called at 2:14hrs on Monday, 16 September, following reports of a man being assaulted on General Gordon Square, Greenwich. Officers and LAS paramedics found the man, who had been struck on the head with a bottle. He has been taken to hospital and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.”
