Man jailed for assault and making threats to kill

Cameron Bennett, 23, of no fixed address, went to the victim’s address during the evening on 11 January this year.

He made threats towards the woman after being asked to leave the address.

Bennett then pushed the woman in the chest before going on to damage a bedroom door and lights.

Thankfully, the victim was not injured.

Bennett surrendered himself and was arrested the same day.

On Tuesday 2 April, Bennett was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court to 22 months in prison after pleading guilty to making threats to kill and assault by beating.

Bennet has also been ordered to pay a surcharge of £187.
