Nottingham thug Cameron Bennett jailed for terrifying woman with deadly threats
Threats and Assault at Victim’s Home
Cameron Bennett, 23, homeless and trouble-bound, showed up uninvited at a woman’s home on the evening of 11 January. When told to leave, he didn’t go quietly. Instead, he hurled threats at the woman before crossing the line further.
Shocking Physical Attack and Vandalism
Bennett pushed the victim in the chest, then rampaged through the property, smashing a bedroom door and breaking lights. Miraculously, the woman escaped without injury.
Quick Arrest and Swift Justice
The same day, Bennett handed himself in to police and was promptly arrested. On 2 April at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to making threats to kill and assault by beating, earning himself a hefty 22-month prison sentence.
Hefty Fine Adds to His Woes
On top of jail time, Bennett was slapped with a £187 surcharge, adding insult to injury in a bid to punish the violent offender.
