Inquest Opens into ‘Unusual’ Death of Ilford Pensioner Mohammed Akram

 

An inquest has been opened into the death of Mohammed Akram, 84, whose body was discovered at his home on Staines Road, Ilford, on June 12.
He asked the family to provide a full written account of events leading up to the incident, including “what you saw and what you heard” on and before the date of death.

Next Steps

A full inquest is now scheduled to take place in December 2025, when the court will examine evidence, hear from witnesses, and determine the circumstances surrounding Mr Akram’s tragic death.

The community in Ilford remains shocked by the incident, with residents hoping for clarity as the investigation continues.
