It was reported that between 10.45am and 12.15pm on Thursday, March 3 a man has knocked on the door of a property on Queens Court, Newcastle, and told the occupant he was there to check a water leak. The elderly victim has then allowed the male to come into the property where he looked around the living room and told the 91-year-old he would be back in 20 minutes before leaving the address. Shortly after the man left, the victim noticed a quantity of cash was missing. Police have now identified a man who they would like to speak to who was in the area at the time of the incident and may have information that could assist with enquiries. The man or anyone who knows him is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting ref 027325T/22.
