Police Have Re-bailed A 36-year-old Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Shanklin Resident David Johns Last Month

 

It has been confirmed that the unnamed man, who was injured during the ‘altercation’ on St John’s Road in Shanklin on April 25th, answered bail last week.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the prime suspect, 36, has been re-bailed with conditions until August 3rd.

On the night of Monday, April 25th, the male was arrested on suspicion of murder. He was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital with suspected knife wounds to his stomach.

Grandfather David Johns was discovered dead after Armed Police and medics descended on a property near the intersection with Orchardleigh Road.

Two women who had been arrested on suspicion of murder have been released with no further action planned against them.
