Officers were called to reports of a large scale disorder outside the Sir Daniel Arms Pub in Fleet Street, Swindon shortly after 8pm onSaturday evening (31st October 2020). A man was seen to swing a clenched fist at an officer and one of her colleagues intervened and sustained a serious bite wound to the leg while bringing him under control to affect an arrest.

Garry Ashley Drewitt, 58, from Stratton St Margaret, has been charged with two counts of common assault of an emergency worker and released on unconditional bail.
