Police release man arrested over Portsmouth Stabbing with no charge

Officers investigating after a 20-year-old man, from Birmingham, suffered a brutal attack in Somerstown shortly before midnight on Saturday, have released the second man arrested over the offence. The 23-year-old man from London, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, has been released from custody but remains under investigation – formerly known as police bail. A 21-year-old man from London who was arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder on 18th February, was later released with no further action to be taken. Anyone with any information or who was in the area of Middle Street at the time is asked to call Portsmouth police on 101, quoting Op Verge.
