West Midlands Police say a 51-year-old driver ignored demands to stop and drove recklessly before the lorry overturned at Duddeston’s Little Hall Road and Great Francis Street junction.

Stolen Lorry and Alcohol Haul Seized

The lorry and its cargo—a massive stash of alcohol—are believed to have been nicked. The driver was taken to hospital but has now been discharged.

“He has been arrested on suspicion of theft, vehicle theft, dangerous driving, and failing to stop. He remains in custody for questioning,” a police spokesman confirmed.
