On friday a provisional licence holder was caught by Brighton and Hove Police jumping a red traffic light while using their mobile phone. The police have seized the car, reported the driver, and scheduled them to appear in court.
This incident highlights the dangers of distracted driving, especially for provisional licence holders who are still developing their driving skills. The police has been conducting educational and enforcement checks across the city aimed at reducing the number of fatal road traffic collisions.
