A violent acid attack in Plymouth has sparked a major criminal investigation, leading to charges against seven individuals in connection with a suspected organised crime plot involving conspiracy to kidnap, conspiracy to murder, and money laundering.
The attack occurred in the early hours of 21 February 2025, when Devon & Cornwall Police were called to a property on Lipson Road at around 3:55 a.m.. A man in his 30s was found with serious injuries after being attacked with a corrosive substance. He remains in hospital in serious condition.
The Accused
Seven people have been charged and will appear before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on 12 April 2025:
Police Operations
The case is the result of a coordinated operation between Devon & Cornwall Police and the Metropolitan Police, reflecting the cross-regional scope of the alleged criminal network. On 10 April, six male suspects were arrested at various London addresses, while Jenna O’Grady was apprehended in Plymouth.
Authorities have not released the motive for the attack or updates on the victim’s condition, citing the active investigation.
